Edward carries out valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals, as well as advising on investment transactions, spanning all types of healthcare property including GP surgeries, medical centres and pharmacies. He covers an extensive area spanning Yorkshire and into the North West, Midlands and down the M1 corridor.

Edward has more than 15 years’ experience working in the healthcare property sector.

Fiona joined Dacres Commercial in 2007, based in the Leeds office she specialises in the primary healthcare and pharmacy sector advising on rent reviews, lease renewals and a wide range of property valuation issues.

Fiona has operated within the commercial property market since 1989, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1991, working for two national firms of property consultants based in Leeds prior to joining Dacres Commercial. Fiona has extensive experience in the commercial property sector, primarily in portfolio valuations for major financial institutions/property companies, investment agency, secured lending valuations and professional rent review/lease renewal work across all sectors of the commercial property market.

Ian qualified in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural College in 1981 and joined Dacre, Son & Hartley in the same year, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984.

Ian is a Director of the company and heads the rural side of the business, specialising in property management with a particular leaning towards sporting estates. He is based at the Harrogate office and works throughout Yorkshire and the North of England.

David joined Dacre, Son & Hartley in 1982 as a trainee, before going on to study at the University of Northumbria where he gained a BSc (hons) degree in estate management.

David moved to head up the new Leeds Commercial office in 1998 and has extensive experience across the commercial and healthcare property markets. David has developed the firm’s national expertise in the medical centre market, is also head of the commercial division and a member of the management board of Dacre, Son & Hartley.

James leads the valuation team advising on a broad range of property types including residential, commercial, rural, leisure, education and development assets. He is regularly instructed on valuations for lending, taxation, financial reporting, pension schemes and charity compliance, and has completed the RICS Expert Witness Certificate programme.

Alongside valuation work, James is experienced in landlord and tenant matters, commercial sales and lettings, and planning and development. He has advised corporate bodies, charities, local authorities and private clients on property disposals and development opportunities across a wide variety of asset classes.

A Durham University graduate and Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, James was recognised nationally when he was shortlisted for the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards in 2022.

Harry is based at the Skipton office and supports the Dacres Commercial team with the property management function.

Hedley Steel is a Chartered Surveyor at Dacres Commercial, specialising in commercial agency across Yorkshire. He also undertakes and assists with valuation, investment and landlord and tenant instructions.

Hedley studied Real Estate at Birmingham City University and previously worked in residential agency in Halifax, alongside supporting valuation work for a Leeds-based firm of Chartered Surveyors, before joining Dacres Commercial as a graduate.

Gary Joined Dacres in 2024 having spent over 30 years as a District Valuer. He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1992 and is an RICS Registered Valuer. He specialises in the primary healthcare sector and carries out valuations for rent reviews and lease renewals in connection with the NHS GP rental reimbursement scheme. He acts on behalf of a number of major investors and landlords as well as GP Owner occupiers.

He covers an extensive area across Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire.

Chartered Surveyor Zoe Harrison joined our Agriculture department in November 2019 working with Ian Cox on the sale, purchase and management of agricultural, forestry and sporting estates throughout the North of England.
Zoe, who graduated from Harper Adams University in Shropshire with a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management joins from Lister Haigh, where she spent over four years and achieved her APC qualification. She previously worked for Davis & Bowring in Lancashire.
